During that period, 2,930 hectolitres of beer have been drunk in the restaurant, 2,550 hectolitres out of which were Krausened Lager and 204,164 main courses as well as 59,802 servings of soups have been consumed.

České Budějovice, 3rd December 2009 - Saturday 5th December will see the renowned Masné krámy restaurant in České Budějovice celebrate its two-year anniversary since re-opening following an extensive overall reconstruction and modernization. For nearly five years, the restaurant was closed between 2002 and 2007. The passed two years have proven that the Masné krámy restaurant has managed to pick up on its famous tradition, yet again becoming a part of the public life in České Budějovice as well as a favourite meeting spot for friends due to its perfectly treated and properly drawn beer of top quality from Budweiser Budvar Brewery and various gastronomic events. These days the restaurant once more belongs amongst attractive tourist destinations for both local and foreign visitors of the town.

To a reasonable extent, the success of the Masné krámy restaurant arises from Budweiser Budvar beer, which is no surprise, since 2,930 hectolitres of beer have been drunk between 5th December 2007 and 4th December 2009. "The most of the beer volume drawn goes to Budweiser Budvar Krausened Lager; its share of the total drawn comes to 87%, which is 2,550 hectolitres. We are the only place in the world to draw it directly from the beer tanks," says Budweiser Budvar's gastro department manager Tomáš Olejník. Draught beer, dark lager and drawn alcohol-free beer made up the remaining hectolitres. "During 24 months, our waiters served a total of 538,300 large beers and 79,501 small beers," adds Tomáš Olejník.

The Masné krámy restaurant attracts its visitors not only by its range of beer, but also by great cuisine. Its customers not only favour lunch menu specials, but also gastronomic seasonal events, this year's most successful ones being "Slovakian Cuisine Days", "South Bohemian Grove and Wood Mushrooms" and "Venison Feast". During the last two years of the restaurants operation, a total of 204,164 main courses and 59,802 servings of soup have been consumed, with the most favoured meals being: 1. Brewer's beef goulash with bacon dumplings (16,595 servings), 2. Grilled pork ribs (9,728 servings), 3. Roast pork with dumplings and cooked cabbage (9,576 servings), 4. Creamy vegetable sauce with dumplings (8,744 servings).
